OVERVIEW

The Toyo Open Country C/T is an all terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial grade light trucks.

The tire provides great all weather traction. The special all season tire compound and the aggressive staggered tread design boost the dry, wet and winter weather road grip. The durable compound ensures traction throughout the year and it maintains its optimal flexibility even in colder temperatures, while the tread elements find firm grip even in ice and snow. The tire is pinned for studs. #15 studs can be added for extra grip in winter weather. The model received the three mountain peak and snowflake symbol for its capability of handling severe winter conditions. When driving on-road, the wide grooves and open shoulder design prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the tire’s footprint to further increase the wet weather traction.

The aggressive tread design features staggered tread blocks, an open shoulder design, an optimized sidewall pattern and an additional siping detail that work together to boost the all terrain traction. In this manner, the model is capable of handling all soft, loose and uneven terrain surfaces and it ensures a safer off-road performance. The tread blocks find grip on rugged terrain surfaces, while the sidewall pattern enables the tire’s forward motion when driving through deep mud or loose dirt. The deep grooves, staggered tread blocks and open shoulders keep a clean footprint. They eliminate mud and snow stuck between the tread elements, which prevents the tire’s footprint from being blocked from its contact with the road surface. As a result, the tire does not lose its traction during off-road performance, which enhances its driving safety.

The model ensures excellent safety by preventing damage from harming the tire’s casing. The tread design’s self-cleaning nature, with the stone ejecting ribs, eliminates rocks from between the tread elements. This effectively prevents stone retention which can puncture the casing.
