OVERVIEW
The Toyo Open Country A/T III is an all terrain, all season tire manufactured for SUVs and light trucks. Toyo offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with the light truck sizes and a 65,000 mile treadwear warranty with the SUV sizes of this model.
The tire guarantees excellent all weather traction. The detailed tread design and all season compound improve the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The tread design with the 3D multi-wave sipes boosts the grip on the road and terrain surface throughout the year, while the special tire compound keeps the tire pliable throughout the drive. During its on-road drive, the tread’s wide groove placement helps prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the footprint. This combination improves the grip on the road surface during the drive, ensuring the tire’s safer year round performance.
The tread design also boosts the tire’s exceptional off-road traction. The tread features a detailed, staggered tread block placement, high void ratio and an open shoulder block placement. In this manner, the tire improves the soft, loose and uneven, off-road terrain gripping ability with additional biting edges gripping the road. These tread elements improve the tire’s forward motion on soft and loose terrains, ensuring the tire’s exceptional performing capability and power. The tread also keeps a clean footprint. It eliminates mud and snow and eject rocks stuck between the tread elements. As a result, mud and snow cannot block the tire’s surface contact and are able to prevent stone retention from harming the tire’s casing. This improves the off-road driving security levels.
The ideal tread pattern’s constant surface contact manages to upgrade the tire’s controllability. The optimal tread block placement increases the surface contact, which allows the tire to boost the steering responsiveness and the driving stability.
