The Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 is a high performance, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. Michelin offers a 45,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.
The tire offers exceptional all weather traction. The asymmetric tread design and the Silica+ compound work together to ensure the tires secure dry, wet and winter weather high speed performing safety. The compound and the Helio+ technology improve the rubber flexibility in versatile temperatures, including cold winter situations. The treads rounded shoulders and siping placement and the biting edges in the grooves increase the tires grip on the road surface, even when driving on ice and snow. The circumferential and angled lateral grooves disperse water and slush from the footprint, maintaining the surface contact and effectively preventing hydroplaning. The result is a safer year round driving experience.
The model uses the tread design as well to enhance the controllability. The asymmetric tread design and the Dynamic Response Technology manage to keep the tires surface contact throughout the vehicles performance. The better road contact upgrades the steering responsiveness and the driving stability, and ensures the drivers improved control over the vehicle, even during its high speed performance. The evenly circulated forces of acceleration, cornering and braking effectively avoid irregular wear formations. The silica-enhanced compound, on the other hand, decreases the tread wear rate by using the stronger rubber materials, which slows the tread wear rate down. Damages and issues
